Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez reveal the intimate photos from their Portugal wedding
The couple marked 10 years since their first meeting with their children at the heart of the ceremony

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have revealed intimate details and photos of their wedding day after quietly marrying in Portugal on August 11. The couple exchanged vows at their home in Cascais in a private civil ceremony attended by their five children, choosing a deeply personal setting instead of the lavish celebrity wedding many had expected. Vogue published photographs and details from the celebration on August 16.
The wedding date carried special significance for the couple. August 11 marked 10 years since Ronaldo and Rodríguez first met at a Gucci store in Madrid. Rodríguez was working there at the time, having returned to Spain after working as an au pair in England. Ronaldo recalled seeing her at the shop and described their first meeting as a dream.

The couple had spent weeks surrounded by speculation about their wedding plans, with rumours circulating about potential locations and celebrity guests. Instead, they selected their own living room as the venue. Rodríguez explained that the decision reflected how much she valued having her family around her during such an important moment.
"When I was a little girl, I dreamt of the biggest castle, the biggest carriage, the longest dress, a crown full of diamonds," Rodríguez shared. She said she eventually realised that an intimate celebration at home was what she wanted.

The couple's five children played a central role in the ceremony. Cristiano Jr, twins Eva and Mateo, Alana and Bella were present for the occasion, with Rodríguez describing them as the protagonists of their everyday lives as well as the wedding.
The fashion choices also carried a connection to the beginning of Ronaldo and Rodríguez's relationship. Rodríguez wore a custom white silk faille skirt suit from Gucci with matching satin shoes featuring the brand's signature horsebit detail. Ronaldo wore a custom light beige cotton suit with matching Gucci loafers, while the children wore coordinated outfits.
Gucci artistic director Demna described dressing the couple as especially meaningful because their relationship began at a Gucci store in Madrid. The wedding photographs were taken by Juergen Teller, whom the couple selected because they wanted the images to feel artistic rather than like a conventional family album.
Rodríguez also accessorised her wedding look with jewellery from Chopard's Garden of Kalahari collection, including a necklace featuring a 50 carat D flawless brilliant cut diamond. Her engagement ring, an oval cut diamond, was another prominent piece of jewellery associated with the occasion.

After the civil ceremony, the couple and their family travelled to the Shrine of Our Lady of Fátima, where they received a religious blessing in a private sanctuary. Rodríguez later said she experienced a strong sense of peace while visiting the Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows.

The couple also revealed that they had no honeymoon planned because Ronaldo needed to return to Saudi Arabia for his football commitments. He joked that "every day is a honeymoon" while discussing their plans.
Ronaldo and Rodríguez have been together since 2016 and announced their engagement in August 2025. Their relationship has continued alongside Ronaldo's football career and Rodríguez's modelling and business ventures. Their wedding followed years of public interest in when and how they would formalise their relationship.
Despite keeping this ceremony small, the couple have not ruled out a larger celebration. Rodríguez said they could eventually hold a bigger wedding with family and friends when their demanding schedules allow.
