Man 'kills' wife over domestic dispute

KARACHI:

A woman was allegedly shot dead by her husband during a domestic dispute at a house near MT Khan Road in Sultanabad.

Police reached the scene after receiving information about the shooting and called the crime scene unit to collect evidence. The deceased was identified as 48-year-old Zareen Bibi, wife of Shaukat.

Her body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi in a Chhipa ambulance, where a post-mortem examination was being conducted.

Docks SHO Waqar Qaiser said preliminary information suggested that the woman was allegedly shot by her husband during a domestic quarrel.

The SHO said the husband was present at the hospital and would be taken into custody after completion of the necessary legal formalities.
