Three killed, fiveinjured in van-bike collision

VEHARI:

Three people were killed and five others, including women, were seriously injured when a speeding van collided with a motorcycle near Chak 7-WB in Vehari district on Thursday.

According to Rescue 1122, the AP van was travelling from Burewala towards Vehari while three people on the motorcycle were heading in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided near Chak 7-WB.

The three motorcycle riders died on the spot, while five people travelling in the van sustained serious injuries.

Rescue officials said the condition of two of the injured was critical.

Rescue 1122 teams and ambulances reached the scene shortly after receiving information about the accident.

Rescue personnel provided first aid to the injured before shifting them to District Headquarters Hospital Vehari for further treatment.

Officials said the identities of the deceased and injured had not yet been established. Women were among those injured.
