Katseye release ‘Hootie Frutti’ music video, amid Sophia hiatus

Katseye have released the music video for their new song "Hootie Frutti", coinciding with the arrival of their latest EP, Wild.

Directed by Alfred Marroquin, the "Hootie Frutti" video centres on an underground Brazilian party led by the group.

The video features a Latin-influenced beat and dance choreography, with the members wearing colourful outfits as they perform together. The visuals eventually see water pour from the ceiling while the group continues dancing.

Wild contains five tracks, including "Animal", which Katseye performed earlier this week on The Tonight Show. The EP marks the group’s first recording without Manon Bannerman, who remains on hiatus from the group.

Sophia Laforteza has also announced that she is taking a hiatus from Katseye for her mental health.

The release of Wild comes during a busy period for the group, which will also see the theatrical release of Katseye: Wild Hearts in August. Katseye will then begin their Wildworld Tour, with the first date scheduled for Dublin, Ireland, on September 1.

Katseye previously discussed the upcoming arena tour with The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon. "I feel like it will hit me once I get there because it's our first arena tour," Yoonchae Jeung said. "It's a much bigger stage. I'm a little bit nervous. And it's very exciting."
