Paris Jackson responds to critics who say her tattoos make her look 'dirty'

Paris Jackson has responded to an online critic who criticised her extensive collection of tattoos, telling the commenter that she is “dirty” even without them.

The singer and actress, 28, addressed the criticism after E! News shared an Instagram post on August 12 featuring Jackson meeting her mother for the first time.

The post included a photograph showing the chakra-inspired tattoo running down the centre of Jackson’s chest.

“She's gorgeous, but those tattoos just make her look dirty and takes away from her look,” one commenter wrote.

Jackson responded to the criticism with a sarcastic remark.

“oh no what ever will i do 😰 (i'm dirty even without the tattoos),” she wrote.

The commenter continued the exchange, arguing that Jackson's tattoos detracted from her appearance.

“@parisjackson like I said your gorgeous and it takes away. Why did you mess with perfection, you don't mark up something perfect,” the commenter replied.

Jackson has more than 80 tattoos, many of which have personal significance. In a 2022 interview with PEOPLE, she recalled getting her first tattoo spontaneously.

“It's on my boob, it's an alien,” she said, explaining that she got the design when she was younger.

“I just wanted it — it's kind of how they all are,” Jackson said of her tattoos, adding, “I've done a few of my own.”

Her chakra tattoo dates back to 2017 and represents energy points. Jackson also has a tattoo connected to her late father, Michael Jackson.

In June 2017, she had the word “Applehead” tattooed in cursive across her left foot, referencing a term of endearment associated with the singer.

“With every step I take, you lift my foot and guide me forward,” Jackson wrote alongside an Instagram photo of the tattoo at the time, adding, “Love you.”
