Will Keeley and Roy reunite? Juno Temple addresses Ted Lasso romance tease

Juno Temple has addressed the possibility of a renewed romance between Keeley Jones and Roy Kent in Ted Lasso season 4, following a nostalgic moment between the characters in the second episode.

During an interview with ScreenRant, Temple was asked whether Keeley might eventually make a permanent choice regarding her relationship with Roy, played by Brett Goldstein. Temple acknowledged the chemistry between the characters but stopped short of confirming whether they will reunite.

“There’s definitely chemistry there,” Temple said, adding that Roy has a way of making Keeley pause. She also noted that she does not want the characters to repeat the same mistake of getting their timing wrong.

Hannah Waddingham, who plays Rebecca Welton, also discussed Temple and Goldstein’s on-screen dynamic, saying she enjoys watching the two actors perform together regardless of the eventual outcome.

The discussion comes after Ted Lasso season 4, episode 2, “Curiouser and Curiouser!”, which includes moments suggesting that Keeley and Roy may still have unresolved feelings. However, the episode also establishes that Keeley currently views Roy as a close friend.

The pair previously had a romantic relationship before ending it, leaving their future together uncertain. With eight episodes remaining in the season, the series has yet to reveal whether the two characters will rekindle their romance.

Ted Lasso season 4 has received positive reviews since its return. The season currently holds an 89% critics score and an 80% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, based on the figures cited in the original report.

New episodes of Ted Lasso season 4 are released Wednesdays on Apple TV. A fifth season has not yet been officially confirmed, although Jason Sudeikis has previously discussed having plans for additional seasons.
