Facebook page of the day: Of Babrus and brushes
Babrus Khan is accredited with designing famous cartoon character for anti-bacterial soap in Pakistan.
Most Pakistanis must have surely heard of, if not played, games like The Sims and Need For Speed, but what’s astonishing is this young artist from Pakistan who has worked from them.
Babrus Khan, a 25-year-old Karachi-based digital artist, calls himself “an overrated self-proclaimed artist”, but the 1200+ likes on his Facebook page defines his creativity even better. Owing to his love for comics, Khan loves designing new characters of his own as well as comic strips. He is also accredited with designing a famous cartoon character for an anti-bacterial soap in Pakistan.
What attracts people more to his work is his generosity – drawing peoples’ portraits with an action comic book style upon requests, which people mostly love to put up as their displays on Facebook.
His recent work is his online comic called Black Winter, which is to be released page-by-page, with each page making his fans look forward more to the story. Seven pages of the comic are out so far, while the Facebook page keeps updating frequently with his new artwork with more than 200 pieces uploaded already.
Facebook page rating: Double thumbs up for taking Pakistani art abroad
