Sharon Stone and John Stamos set to receive major humanitarian honours

Sharon Stone and John Stamos will be honoured at The Creative Coalition’s 2026 Humanitarian Awards in Los Angeles

Sharon Stone and John Stamos are among the entertainment figures who will be honoured at The Creative Coalition’s 2026 Humanitarian Awards Dinner in Los Angeles.

The event is scheduled for Sept. 10 at Second Home and will recognise members of the entertainment industry for their contributions to humanitarian causes, community initiatives and social advocacy. Variety senior culture and events editor Marc Malkin will host the ceremony for the fourth consecutive year.

Stone, an Emmy-winning and Oscar-nominated actor known for Basic Instinct, The Practice and Euphoria, will be recognised for her humanitarian work as Global Campaign Chair of amfAR. Through the organisation, Stone has helped raise funds and awareness for HIV/AIDS research.

Stamos, known for his roles in Full House and Palm Royale, will also receive an award for his work supporting Childhelp. The actor serves as an ambassador for the organisation and created the St. Amos jewellery collection, with proceeds supporting programmes for survivors of child abuse.

The Creative Coalition has also announced Simran Baidwan, Cara Buono, Lisa Ann Walter and Mary Lou Belli as additional honourees. Their advocacy efforts include support for the Stay in LA initiative, Liberty United and the Kids In Need Foundation’s Supply Ride initiative.

Creative Coalition president Tim Daly said the honourees have used their influence to support communities, improve lives and create opportunities for others.

All proceeds from the Humanitarian Awards Dinner will benefit The Creative Coalition’s year-round advocacy efforts. Founded in 1989, the organisation works to encourage members of the entertainment industry to participate in civic and social causes.

The awards dinner will take place ahead of the 2026 Emmy Awards, bringing together entertainment figures involved in humanitarian and community-focused initiatives.
