Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz Beckham are reportedly marking their 2025 vow renewal as their wedding anniversary instead of their original 2022 ceremony date.
The couple married in Palm Beach, Florida, on April 9, 2022, before renewing their vows on August 2, 2025. This week, they publicly referred to the August date as their anniversary in social media posts.
People reports that the couple are no longer treating April 9 as the anniversary they choose to celebrate, with an unnamed source linking the change to difficult memories associated with their wedding.
On August 4, Brooklyn shared a message on Instagram writing, "Happy anniversary Nicola," and added, "I can't tell you how much I love you x you are my best friend and I love you more than life itself xx I am so lucky to be able to call you my wife."
Nicola also posted, writing, "Happy anniversary my love," and thanked Brooklyn for being "the most amazing husband I could ever dream of."
Despite this, Brooklyn previously marked their original anniversary in April 2026, gifting Nicola white roses and writing that they had "been through so much together" and were "stronger than ever."
The vow renewal in 2025 was described by Brooklyn in January 2026 as an effort to create new memories, saying, "We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment."
Nicola’s father, Nelson Peltz, officiated the ceremony, and she wore a reworked version of her mother’s 1985 wedding dress. David and Victoria Beckham were not reported to have attended.
Brooklyn has also spoken about ongoing estrangement from his parents, writing, "I do not want to reconcile with my family," and, "I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life."
Victoria Beckham has said, "We love our children so much," and added, "We've always tried to be the best parents that we can be."
