Travis Barker reveals why he never watches 'The Kardashians'

Travis Barker has revealed that he does not watch The Kardashians or review the episodes in which he appears, saying reality television has never influenced the way he shares his personal life.

Speaking on The New York Times' Popcast podcast, the Blink-182 drummer discussed his appearances on the Hulu reality series alongside his wife, Kourtney Kardashian Barker. Barker explained that he rarely thinks about being filmed and prefers not to acknowledge the cameras while participating in the show.

"I do not watch the show," Barker said, adding that he has never approved or reviewed episodes featuring him. He described himself as "an accessory" rather than a central figure on the series, noting that his role is limited compared with other members of the Kardashian family.

The musician said the only exception was watching footage from his and Kardashian's 2022 wedding, which she compiled into a special edit. However, Barker maintained that appearing on the reality series was not a learning experience that encouraged him to become more open publicly.

Barker also addressed why he and Kardashian chose to discuss their miscarriage, IVF journey and eventual natural pregnancy in his upcoming documentary, Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear. He said sharing deeply personal experiences can help people facing similar struggles and make them feel less alone.

The documentary, directed by Justin Krook and Michael Dwyer, explores Barker's rise to fame, his music career and the lasting impact of the 2008 plane crash that nearly claimed his life. It also includes interviews with family members and figures from the music industry.

Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear is scheduled to premiere on Hulu and Disney+ on August 13.
