Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp has revealed that he was surprised to receive an invitation to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding, admitting he initially thought the invite was a joke.

During an episode of HBO’s Hard Knocks, Kupp discussed attending the couple’s star-studded wedding celebration with his wife, Anna Marie Kupp, at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3. The NFL player said he was shocked that he was included among the guests at the highly exclusive event.

“When I got the invitation, I thought it was a joke,” Kupp said while speaking with Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold. He explained that he assumed Kelce would have a long list of closer friends and family members who would receive invitations before him.

Kupp and his wife were photographed arriving at the venue, with the athlete wearing a black tuxedo and Anna Marie wearing a red gown. The couple joined a guest list featuring major figures from sports and entertainment, including Tom Brady, Reese Witherspoon and Emma Stone.

The private wedding reportedly featured a strict no-phones policy, with guests required to hand over their devices upon arrival. The celebration included performances from music legends Stevie Nicks and Paul McCartney, while Adam Sandler served as the officiant.
