Phoebe Bridgers is giving fans an out-of-this-world first listen to her new album, Lost Weekend, by hosting immersive listening events in planetariums across more than 30 cities ahead of the record's official release. The unique experience is being launched in partnership with Spotify.

The special events will take place from 10 to 14 August, allowing fans to hear the album in full beneath planetarium domes accompanied by bespoke visual presentations. Depending on the venue, attendees will experience either a custom celestial dome show created by acclaimed night-sky photographer Babak Tafreshi or an immersive laser display designed by Laser Fantasy.

In keeping with Bridgers' preference for distraction-free performances, the listening sessions will be entirely phone-free. Guests will place their devices in Yondr pouches before entering the venue, ensuring the focus remains on the music and visuals. The events will be held in cities across the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, France, Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand.

Lost Weekend, Bridgers' first solo album since 2020's Punisher, arrives on August 14 via Dead Oceans. The record has already generated significant anticipation ahead of her upcoming Lost Tour, which begins next month and follows the same phone-free approach that has become a hallmark of her recent live shows.

The planetarium events mark one of the most unusual album launches of the year, reflecting the celestial imagery that has surrounded Lost Weekend since its announcement. By pairing the music with immersive visuals in a unique setting, Bridgers is offering fans an experience designed to be as memorable as the album itself.
