General Hospital: Chris McKenna’s Jack Brennan reportedly set for fall exit

Chris McKenna is reportedly set to leave General Hospital this autumn, with his character Jack Brennan expected to be killed off as part of the soap’s ongoing WSB storyline.

According to reports, no final airdate has been announced, but Jack’s death is expected to take place during the autumn.

The character currently serves as the Port Charles WSB station chief, putting him at the centre of several dangerous storylines.

Jack is also involved in a developing romance with Nina Reeves, played by Cynthia Watros. The relationship has provided a lighter storyline after Nina accidentally injected Jack with a paralytic drug in May.

McKenna joined General Hospital in February 2025 on a recurring basis, taking over the role from Charles Measure, who originated the character in 2023. The actor was later signed to a contract.

The role also marked a return to General Hospital for McKenna, who began his soap career as Kevin Buchanan on One Life to Live.

He later reunited with his former on-screen mother, Erika Slezak, when she appeared as Ronnie Bard.

McKenna has also appeared on The Young and the Restless, where he played Mark Harding.

Jack’s story has included relationships with Carly Spencer and Nina, as well as conflicts involving the WSB.

His involvement with Carly ended after she discovered that he had recruited her college-age daughter into the organisation.

With Jack reportedly facing a fatal storyline, Nina could be left alone once again in Port Charles.

However, viewers will have to wait for the episodes to air before his reported exit is confirmed.
