Brad Pitt clashes with Angelina Jolie over movie earnings amid ongoing Château Miraval dispute

Brad Pitt has asked a court to order Angelina Jolie to disclose information about her movie earnings as their ongoing legal dispute over Château Miraval continues.

According to legal documents obtained by Us Weekly, Pitt’s lawyers made the request during a July 31 court hearing, seeking “documents sufficient to show her income”, particularly for 2017 to 2019.

The legal team said they were “not even seeking all of her profit statements … just seeking statements that show for films they are already in the money and she is receiving payments”.

Jolie appeared in several films during that period, including 2019’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, according to IMDb.

The former couple, who share six children, have been involved in a legal dispute over the French winery they jointly owned from 2008 until 2021.

Pitt initially sued Jolie, alleging they had a “two-party consent agreement” concerning the winery.

Jolie filed a countersuit, disputing the existence of such an agreement and alleging that Pitt refused her attempt to buy his shares unless she signed a non-disclosure agreement.

Jolie’s lawyers have argued that the financial information requested by Pitt is irrelevant to the dispute. They previously said Jolie had “largely put her career on hold, forgoing years of compensation in the process”.

Pitt’s lawyers argued the information would place Jolie’s “coercion” and “economic leverage” claims into “context”.

Jolie’s legal team rejected that argument, describing the basis for the request as a “made-up theory that Jolie did not allege”.

The response stated, “Separating from one’s ex-husband is categorically different from an allegation that one is suffering general financial distress.”

Pitt and Jolie separated in 2016, with their divorce finalised in December 2024
