Gang busted for posing as magistrate staff

.

ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad district administration has arrested a man and his accomplices for allegedly impersonating members of a magistrate's enforcement team and executing unauthorised raids on local businesses.

The operation was launched on the strict instructions of Islamabad Deputy Commissioner following numerous complaints from the commercial sector. Business owners reported that individuals claiming to represent the magistrate's office were conducting illicit enforcement actions and harassing traders.

A covert surveillance team deployed by the district administration intercepted the suspects in the act, catching them as they attempted to use the name of the local government to carry out unauthorised activities.

According to the First Information Report (FIR) registered at the Industrial Area Police Station, the primary suspect, identified as Usama, operated alongside several associates.

The FIR states that the gang had no legal mandate or official authority to conduct market operations. Investigations are currently underway to determine the full scope of their activities and to identify any further accomplices.
