'Heated Rivalry' creator urges fans to stay away from season 2 filming locations

The creator of Heated Rivalry has appealed to fans not to visit season 2 filming locations after some began planning trips to the set, asking supporters to give the cast and crew the space they need while production gets underway.

In a message shared on social media, creator Jacob Tierney thanked fans for their enthusiasm but urged them not to "crash" the production. "Please give our cast and crew the space they need to make the best show possible," he wrote, adding that everyone involved deeply appreciates the passion surrounding the hit hockey romance.

According to Variety, some fans have already started organising visits to filming locations, prompting concerns that unexpected crowds could disrupt production. Tierney stressed that respecting the cast and crew's privacy would help ensure the series is completed on schedule and to the highest standard.

Season 2 will adapt Rachel Reid's novels The Long Game and Role Model, continuing Shane and Ilya's relationship while introducing several new characters. The new season is expected to premiere in spring 2027 on Crave and HBO Max.
