Jennifer Aniston's friends reportedly concerned Jim Curtis is using her fame to sell new book

Jennifer Aniston is reportedly supporting boyfriend Jim Curtis at the launch of his upcoming self-help book, but unnamed sources claim some of her friends have expressed concerns about the role her celebrity profile is playing in promoting the event.

Curtis is set to release The Book of Possibility: Release. Align. Become, which focuses on neuroscience, mindfulness and hypnotherapy.

As part of the book's promotion, he is hosting an event in New York City on September 2, where tickets are priced at $100. The programme includes a guided meditation and visualisation session led by Curtis, followed by an interview with Aniston.

According to a report citing unnamed insiders, some of Aniston's friends believe her appearance is driving interest in the event.

"Let's be honest, Jennifer is the attraction," one insider told Naughty But Nice. "People aren't spending over a hundred dollars because they're desperate to hear Jim talk about his book. They're buying a ticket hoping to catch a glimpse of Jennifer. Without her, this event wouldn't be generating nearly as much buzz."

Another source claimed, "The worry isn't that Jim wrote a book. It's that Jennifer's fame is doing all the heavy lifting. Her friends are fiercely protective of her, and some think the lines between supportive girlfriend and marketing strategy are starting to blur."

The same report also quoted an insider as saying, "Whenever Jennifer Aniston shows up, she becomes the event. The question everyone in Hollywood is asking is simple: Is this a book signing, or a Jennifer Aniston appearance disguised as one?"

However, other unnamed sources disputed those claims, saying Aniston had chosen to participate.

"Jennifer wanted to be there," one insider said. "Nobody twisted her arm. She believes in Jim, she's proud of him, and she's happy to support his work."

Separate unnamed sources also claimed Aniston's friends have encouraged her to be cautious as she continues supporting Curtis professionally and personally.
