The Odyssey has been in cinemas for nearly three weeks and had earned $911 million worldwide as of August 2.
The film is expected to cross the $1 billion mark soon, with major Asian markets yet to receive the film.
The Odyssey is scheduled to open in South Korea on August 5, followed by China on August 14 and Japan on September 11. The additional releases could significantly increase the film’s global box office total.
If The Odyssey surpasses $1.1 billion, it would overtake The Dark Knight Rises as Nolan’s highest-grossing film. The 2012 Batman sequel currently holds that distinction with a worldwide total of $1.1 billion.
The Seoul appearance follows the cast’s promotional visit to Beijing last week, where the stars also celebrated Nolan’s 56th birthday.
Theron attended the Seoul press conference wearing a Tom Ford look created by creative director Haider Ackermann.
The cast and filmmakers are expected to continue promotional appearances surrounding the South Korean release, with red-carpet events also planned.
