Man held for stabbing wife, three daughters

A man was arrested after allegedly attacking his wife and three daughters with a knife in Lahore's Kahna area on Sunday, leaving all four injured, police said.

According to Rescue 1122, the incident occurred on Kashmir Patti Road in Old Kahna. Rescue teams responded to an emergency call, provided first aid to the victims and shifted them to Lahore General Hospital for treatment. The injured were identified as 35-year-old Fauzia, wife of Irfan, and her daughters Aria, 12, Kinza, 15, and Kubra, 18.

Police said the suspect, identified as Irfan, allegedly attacked his family after they refused to give him money to buy drugs. He was arrested shortly after the incident, and the knife allegedly used in the assault was recovered.

Punjab Women Protection Authority Chairperson Hina Parvez Butt took notice of the incident and sought a report from the DIG Operations Lahore. She directed investigators to complete the probe in accordance with legal requirements and ensure a strong challan is submitted to secure the suspect's conviction.

She directed hospital authorities to ensure the injured woman and her daughters receive the best possible medical care.
