‘Spider Man’ star Jacob Batalon secretly marries longtime partner Veronica Leahov

Wedding confirmation followed weeks of subtle clues including ring appearances and updated surname

Jacob Batalon has officially entered a new chapter in his personal life after quietly marrying interior designer Veronica Leahov. The Spider Man actor, best known for playing Ned Leeds alongside Tom Holland in the blockbuster superhero franchise, kept the ceremony private before confirmation arrived following weeks of subtle clues that caught the attention of fans.

PEOPLE confirmed that Batalon and Leahov are now married after the actor casually referred to her as his "wife" during a recent interview promoting Spider Man: Brand New Day. Appearing alongside co stars Tom Holland and Zendaya, Batalon joked while discussing nicknames, "My wife calls me big dog. She does not. I wish she did." Although delivered with humour, the remark quickly fuelled speculation that the couple had already tied the knot.

Observant fans had already noticed other signs. Batalon had been wearing a gold wedding band on his left hand during several recent public appearances, including the Los Angeles premiere of Spider Man: Brand New Day on July 27, 2026. Around the same time, Leahov quietly updated her professional website to display the surname Veronica Leahov Batalon, adding another indication that the couple had married away from the spotlight.

The wedding comes more than a year after the pair announced their engagement on March 5, 2025. At the time, Batalon shared photographs from a romantic proposal in New York City, writing, "The beginning of the rest of our lives together." Their relationship timeline has frequently drawn comparisons with Batalon's Spider Man co stars Tom Holland and Zendaya. The two couples became engaged within months of one another, and Holland later confirmed that he and Zendaya had also married privately earlier this year. Batalon previously joked about the similarities, insisting his proposal plans had been arranged before Holland's. Speaking earlier this year, he laughed that his friends had "copied" him.

While discussing wedding preparations before the ceremony, Batalon admitted that most of the planning responsibilities belonged to Leahov. He openly acknowledged that organising events was not one of his strengths and joked that his role was simply to appear when told. During interviews promoting earlier projects, he also revealed that the process unexpectedly taught him the difference between flowers such as peonies and roses.

The couple originally considered marrying in Italy before later deciding that France would be a better destination for their celebration.
