Grammy-winning DJ Fred Again remixes viral hit 'Pal Pal'

British DJ Fred Again remixed Afusic and Ali Soomro’s viral Pakistani hit Pal Pal, adding his own personal touch to the song.
Soomro shared videos of the Grammy-winning DJ on Instagram, showing him performing the hit during a livestream with Mexican band Latin Mafia. In the caption, the singer thanked his team for helping take the song to audiences around the world and reflected on the emotional journey of turning Pal Pal into a massive global hit.
Reflecting on the journey behind the song, he noted, "There are some things in life that become bigger than us. Pal Pal was one of those things. My brother Afusic (Affan Khan) and I made this song purely out of love." The singer added, "Before Pal Pal, we had never earned a penny from our music. We weren’t chasing trends or trying to go mainstream, we just wanted to make something we believed in and let the world hear it."
Soomro also highlighted the long hours spent in the studio and the excitement of seeing the song gain mainstream success on music-streaming platforms.
"We worked on it after our jobs, after birthdays, after whatever life threw at us. I still remember Afusic coming to the studio late at night after work, and I’d already be there, excited because we were about to create something together. Those early playlist adds from Spotify Pakistan felt like huge wins and kept us going," he shared.
Further, Soomro thanked Indian singer-songwriter Talwiinder for bringing his own interpretation to the original hit. "A huge thank you to Talwiinder for trusting the song and bringing his own magic to it. It truly made Pal Pal feel complete," he wrote.
The singer concluded by expressing his gratitude to his team and everyone involved in making the song a success.
Pal Pal has become one of Pakistan’s biggest musical hits. It was named the second most-streamed song in Pakistan, according to Spotify Pakistan. The track also propelled both Afusic and Soomro to bag the eighth and ninth spots as Pakistan's most-streamed artists.
