PTI moves LHC over Iqbal Park rally

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday approached the Lahore High Court, seeking directions for the Lahore deputy commissioner to decide its application for permission to hold a public rally at Minar-e-Pakistan on August 5.

It submitted that PTI intended to organise the public gathering on behalf of the party.

It said that PTI submitted an application to the deputy commissioner on July 22 seeking permission for the rally, but no decision has yet been made.

It prayed the court to direct the deputy commissioner to decide the party's application without further delay.
