Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Information and Public Relations Minister Shafi Jan has said that the provincial government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi, is taking historic measures for public welfare, transparent governance, provision of basic amenities and sustainable development of the province.
He said resolving public grievances promptly and providing essential services to people at their doorsteps were among the government's top priorities.
He expressed these views while meeting delegations from different areas at his office in the Civil Secretariat on Wednesday. The visiting delegations apprised the minister of various collective issues confronting their respective areas, including development projects, basic facilities and other matters of public concern.
Shafi Jan listened to their grievances and contacted officials of the relevant departments on the spot, issuing necessary directives for the immediate and effective resolution of their problems.
The minister said the provincial government, while following the vision of PTI founding chairman Imran Khan, was implementing development projects worth billions of rupees in key sectors including health, education, law and order, infrastructure, communications, clean drinking water, energy, agriculture and other public welfare areas.
He said the objective was to ensure that the benefits of development reached every citizen across the province.
