Jennifer Lopez's ex-husband believes Ben Affleck marriage was ‘publicity stunt’
Jennifer Lopez's former husband, Ojani Noa, claimed her marriage to Ben Affleck was 'publicity stunt' in new interview

Jennifer Lopez's former husband, Ojani Noa, has made fresh claims about her past marriage to Ben Affleck, alleging in a new interview that the relationship was intended to generate publicity.
Speaking to The Sun, Noa, who was married to Lopez from 1997 to 1998, claimed, “That marriage was a publicity stunt. She needed people to talk about her again.”
Noa's comments are the latest in a series of public remarks he has made about Lopez and her personal life since her relationship with Affleck became public again.
In 2022, he told the Daily Mail, as quoted by Page Six, that Lopez “loves being in love.” Reflecting on their own marriage, he said, “Ben is husband number four. I was husband number one and she told me I was the love of her life. When we lay in bed on our wedding night, she said we would be together forever.”
At the time, Noa also shared his thoughts on Lopez's future with Affleck, saying, “I wish her and Ben the best, but I'm not convinced it will last. I think she's someone who will be married seven or eight times. I can't see her ever settling down with one person.”
He continued by suggesting Lopez's drive in her career was reflected in her personal life. “She pushes herself to constantly go forward in her professional life, which is why she's had a three-decade career, but she also moves on in her private life. If Ben has Lupe [Jennifer's mom] on his side then maybe he's got a chance.”
Noa's latest comments come decades after his marriage to Lopez ended. The pair were married for around a year between 1997 and 1998 before divorcing.
