Miley Cyrus is looking ahead to a new era in her career, revealing that she is eager to return to acting while beginning a fresh musical chapter with Atlantic Records.

The Grammy-winning singer discussed her future plans in a new interview as guest editor of Wonderland magazine.

Cyrus, who previously released albums through Columbia Records, has signed with Atlantic Records after the success of projects including Endless Summer Vacation, which featured her Grammy-winning hit “Flowers.” The singer said she remains passionate about creating music and working with artists who inspire her.

During her conversation with filmmaker and actress Daryl Hannah, Cyrus opened up about her creative process, describing songwriting as an emotional experience driven by instinct and connection. She said she enjoys collaborating with people who are willing to experiment and explore new ideas without ego.

Beyond music, the Hannah Montana star revealed that she “genuinely” wants to act again and hopes to take on roles that allow her to fully transform into different characters. Cyrus said she would love to work with artists she admires and explore stories with deeper emotional themes.

When asked about her dream acting role, Cyrus said she would like to disappear into a romantic project, describing her ideal character as a “punk-rock Juliet” inspired by classic Shakespearean tragedy. She expressed interest in exploring stories filled with passion, heartbreak and emotional stakes.

The interview comes as Cyrus continues to expand her artistic identity beyond music. After years of performing, acting and evolving in the public eye, the singer appears ready to embrace new creative challenges across entertainment.
