Drake-backed 'Neuromancer' drops first teaser as Apple TV unveils cyberpunk series

Apple TV has released the first teaser trailer for Neuromancer, offering fans a first look at its highly anticipated adaptation of William Gibson's groundbreaking 1984 cyberpunk novel.

The 10-episode series stars BAFTA winner Callum Turner as Case, a brilliant but damaged hacker pulled into a dangerous world of corporate espionage, digital crime, and high-stakes heists. He teams up with Molly, a deadly assassin played by Briana Middleton, on a mission that could reshape their future.

The teaser debuted during Apple TV's Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con, where Turner made a surprise virtual appearance to introduce the first footage.

Created by Graham Roland and JD Dillard, Neuromancer is produced by Paramount Television Studios and Anonymous Content alongside Drake's DreamCrew Entertainment. Drake serves as an executive producer on the series, with Dillard directing the first three episodes and Roland acting as showrunner.

The ensemble cast also includes Mark Strong, Joseph Lee, Peter Sarsgaard, Clémence Poésy, Max Irons, Dane DeHaan, Emma Laird, André De Shields, and Isabella Pappas.

Widely regarded as one of the most influential science-fiction novels ever written, Gibson's Neuromancer helped define the cyberpunk genre and inspired decades of futuristic storytelling across film, television, and gaming.

Neuromancer premieres globally on Apple TV on January 22, 2027.
