According to concertgoers, Bon Jovi addressed the audience moments after performing the band's hit Livin' on a Prayer, apologizing for not being able to continue.

"I'm sorry, I'm hurt, and you're not getting the best of me," the singer reportedly told fans before leaving the stage.

Shortly after the concert, Bon Jovi's representatives clarified that the early ending was not related to his previous vocal cord issues. Instead, they said the singer had been battling a sinus infection, which forced him to stop performing.

"Jon Bon Jovi spoke from stage and told fans he has been battling a sinus infection which led to the show's early ending," his team said, adding that further updates regarding the concert would be shared later.

Before leaving, Bon Jovi also urged fans not to throw away their ticket stubs, hinting that the band hopes to make up for the shortened performance.

"Don't throw away your ticket stubs. I'm gonna figure something out, OK? Just hold onto it, we'll figure out how to reschedule... I'm gonna have to cool it for the night. I feel great," he told the crowd.

Despite the abrupt ending, many attendees praised the singer for performing through illness. One fan who traveled from the United Kingdom described the night as "heartbreaking" but said the show was still unforgettable.

The concert marked Bon Jovi's latest stop on the Forever Tour, his first major tour in four years after undergoing vocal cord medialization surgery following the band's 2022 tour. Last month, the rocker told People he had fully recovered after a lengthy rehabilitation process.

While no new date has been announced, Bon Jovi's comments suggest the band is exploring options to compensate fans who attended the shortened Madison Square Garden show.
