Are Beyoncé and Lady Gaga reuniting for ‘Get Me Bodied’ remix? New move fuels rumours

A new music rights registration has fuelled speculation that Beyoncé and Lady Gaga could be preparing to reunite on a new version of “Get Me Bodied”.

Fans recently noticed that Beyoncé had registered a version of the 2006 track featuring Lady Gaga with Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI).

While no official announcement has been made, the filing has prompted discussion about a possible collaboration between the two artists.

“Get Me Bodied” originally appeared on Beyoncé’s 2006 album B’Day.

Earlier this month, her company, Parkwood Entertainment, confirmed that an “epic celebration” is planned to mark the album’s 20th anniversary.

The anniversary campaign began on July 4 with the release of “Morning Dew (Donk)”, a song recorded during the B’Day sessions that was ultimately left off the album’s final tracklist.

Beyoncé and Lady Gaga have collaborated before. The pair first worked together on a remix of “Video Phone”, which appeared on the deluxe edition of Beyoncé’s I Am… Sasha Fierce in 2009.

They later teamed up for Gaga’s hit single “Telephone”, released from The Fame Monster, with its music video debuting in early 2010.

For years, fans have called for a continuation of the “Telephone” music video, which followed the events of Gaga’s “Paparazzi”.

During a Spotify-hosted Mayhem press conference in March, Gaga was asked about the long-awaited sequel.

“Somebody get my kettle,” she replied. “The tea on ‘Telephone: Part Two’ is that there will be. But I’m not going to give it all away. You wouldn’t want that anyway … I mean, I think you should all call Beyoncé together.”

Neither Beyoncé nor Lady Gaga has confirmed whether a new version of “Get Me Bodied” will be released.
