Conservation: Campaign to promote energy efficiency
ICCI has called upon the government to promote energy efficiency programmes.

Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has called upon the government to launch a serious campaign for adopting energy conservation measures by promoting energy efficiency programmes. “Pakistan is confronted with an acute energy crisis which is taking a heavy toll on the economy”, ICCI President Mahfooz Elahi said in a meeting with Van De Raadt, an energy expert from Netherland. He said that Pakistan could significantly mitigate the adverse effects of energy crisis for industries if proper energy efficiency measures are adopted, particularly in textile and steel sectors. Raadt discussed the current energy crisis and highlighted the importance of energy efficiency programs.
