Crave’s Yaga brings witches, secrets and suspense together in new first-look photos

Yaga first-look images reveal Carrie-Anne Moss, Hudson Williams and Noah Reid in Crave’s modern Baba Yaga thriller

Crave’s upcoming mystery-thriller series Yaga has unveiled its first look, offering fans a glimpse at stars Carrie-Anne Moss, Hudson Williams and Noah Reid in the modern reimagining of the legendary Slavic folklore figure Baba Yaga.

The upcoming Yaga TV series transforms the classic witch myth into a contemporary mystery filled with folklore, horror, fantasy and crime elements. Entertainment Weekly revealed exclusive first-look images featuring the main cast ahead of the show’s upcoming appearance at San Diego Comic-Con.

Created by showrunner and executive producer Kat Sandler, Yaga is based on her original stage play and expands the story into a television series blending mystery, mythology and feminist fantasy. According to Entertainment Weekly, the series explores the question of what truly makes a witch while introducing a world of secrets and supernatural mysteries.

The series stars Noah Reid, known for Schitt’s Creek, as private investigator Rapp, who arrives in a small coastal town to investigate the disappearance of Henry Park, the young heir to a powerful fishery. Hudson Williams, best known for Heated Rivalry, plays the missing heir, while Carrie-Anne Moss portrays Katherine, a charismatic university professor connected to the town’s mysterious events.

The cast also includes Clark Backo as local detective Carson and Sheila McCarthy as Olena Yaha, a wise and unpredictable resident with ties to the town’s hidden secrets.

Yaga will premiere on Canadian streaming platform Crave in fall 2026, with AMC+ handling U.S. distribution. The half-hour drama is expected to explore a mix of ancient magic, crime investigation and dark folklore as it brings the Baba Yaga legend into a modern setting.
