Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Mat Whitecross, whose previous credits include Oasis: Supersonic and Coldplay: A Head Full of Dreams, the documentary will trace Allen’s rise from the early days of MySpace to becoming one of the defining voices of her generation. According to the official synopsis, the film will explore how her sharp songwriting and candid personality reshaped the music industry and inspired a new wave of female artists.

The announcement follows the release of Allen’s fifth studio album, West End Girl, her first record in seven years. The album attracted widespread attention for its deeply personal themes, including reflections on her marriage to Stranger Things actor David Harbour.
