Jessica Chastain is generating buzz with the trailer for her upcoming horror film Other Mommy, and fans are also taking a fresh interest in her husband, Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo.

Born near Venice, Italy, Gian Luca moved to Milan at 19 to pursue a career in fashion. He previously worked in public relations for Armani before joining luxury fashion brand Moncler, where he serves as a fashion executive. He is also the co-founder of Fiol, an Italian prosecco brand launched with childhood friends.

Gian Luca comes from the historic Passi de Preposulo family, an Italian noble lineage. Although aristocratic titles are no longer officially recognized in Italy, Jessica once joked during a television appearance that her husband is "a count."

The couple first met in 2012, the same day Chastain received her first Academy Award nomination for The Help. They tied the knot in a private ceremony in Italy on June 10, 2017, with several Hollywood stars in attendance.
