Blueface was briefly detained by police after an apparent swatting incident interrupted his livestream from his home in Canyon Country, California, with authorities later confirming that no incriminating evidence was found.

The rapper, whose real name is Jonathan Porter, was broadcasting live on Kick on July 21 when officers responded to an emergency call at his residence.

Police detained Blueface and his cameraman while they searched the property, with footage of the encounter quickly spreading across social media.

Videos from the livestream showed the pair leaving the house with their hands raised before officers conducted a search. There have been no reports that Blueface was formally arrested or charged following the incident.

Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station, confirmed that investigators found nothing suspicious at the property, indicating the incident was the result of an apparent prank swatting call.

Swatting involves making a false emergency report to prompt a large-scale law enforcement response, often targeting public figures or livestreamers while they are broadcasting online.

At the time of publication, Blueface had not issued a statement about the incident. However, he shared clips from the livestream on his Instagram Stories, including footage showing him being detained in front of his partner and stepson.

The incident prompted widespread discussion on social media. Many users criticised whoever allegedly made the false report, arguing that swatting wastes emergency resources and poses unnecessary risks.

One user wrote: "Whoever called should be arrested for wasting resources, they could have killed blue."

Others questioned the authenticity of the incident, suggesting it may have been staged, although no evidence has emerged to support those claims.
