NewJeans teases comeback with '2026 Summer of NewJeans' featuring 4 members, Danielle speaks out

The group's channels released content featuring Haerin, Hanni, Hyein and Minji to mark their 4th debut anniversary

NewJeans has fuelled speculation about a long-awaited comeback after unveiling new promotional content featuring four members to mark the group's fourth debut anniversary.

Tthe group's official channels released videos and images for the "2026 Summer of NewJeans" campaign, featuring Haerin, Hanni, Hyein and Minji.

Individual films for each member were also shared, signalling the group's first major activity since a turbulent period that reshaped its line-up.

The new content appears to indicate Minji's return to the group, although no official confirmation has been made.

Minji had previously been in discussions with agency ADOR over her contract, while Danielle's contract termination was announced in December 2025. Haerin, Hanni and Hyein had already confirmed their return.

ADOR has yet to announce a comeback or provide details of any new release.

In a statement, the agency said, "The members wanted to celebrate their debut anniversary together with the fans who have been waiting for them for such a long time. We hope Bunnies will enjoy it with the same excitement."

The agency also suggested that future activities are being prepared, raising the possibility of new music. If released, it would mark NewJeans' first new project since "Supernatural" in 2024.

Fan reaction has been divided. While many welcomed signs of the group's return, others expressed disappointment at Danielle's absence, posting comments including "NewJeans is five" and "no Danielle, no NewJeans."

Shortly after the anniversary content was released, Danielle shared a personal Instagram post, writing, "Life gets cloudy sometimes, but the light always finds its way back in. Until then, keep shining. Forever grateful."
