A man shot his sister dead in the jurisdiction of Khanpur Police Station here on Monday night.
Shamim’s younger brother Raja Sadaqat Khan was suspicious of her sister’s moral behaviour and used to force her to stay home, police said.
Also he had asked her to not to leave home withut his permission, according to family members.
Police and family sources said that Shamim, 29, of village Kotehra Khanpur was living with her parents for the past three years after her husband’s death.
On Monday evening, when shamim returned home, her brother yelled at her, beat her publicly and shot her with a 30-bore pistol.
She was taken to the Khanpur Civil Hospital but succumbed to her injuries on the way to hospital. The suspect yet to be arrested.
