Anne Hathaway reflects on releasing five films in 2026 while expecting her third child with husband Adam Shulman

Anne Hathaway has described her packed 2026 release schedule as “extremely surreal” as she prepares to welcome her third child with husband Adam Shulman.

The 43-year-old actress spoke about the milestone to PEOPLE while attending the London premiere of The Odyssey on July 6, reflecting on a year that is set to see five of her films released.

“I’m excited. This is very, very fun. It’s extremely surreal,” Hathaway said.

“But I’m at an age and a moment in my career where I know stuff like this doesn’t come around very often, and certainly doesn’t last forever.”

She added, “So I’m just gonna surf this wave for as long as it lasts, I’m going to enjoy being on my board, and then when I fall in the water — that’ll be that moment.”

Hathaway has already released Mother Mary in April, followed by The Devil Wears Prada 2 in May. Her latest film, The Odyssey, has now arrived in cinemas, with the actress portraying Penelope opposite Matt Damon as Odysseus in the adaptation of Homer's epic poem.

Her remaining projects for the year include The End of Oak Street, scheduled for release on August 14, and Verity, due to arrive on October 2.

Away from her professional achievements, Hathaway is also preparing to expand her family. She announced in June that she and Shulman are expecting their third child together by sharing a video on Instagram while wearing a flowing white dress.

The couple, who married in 2012, are already parents to sons Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6.

A source also told PEOPLE that Hathaway remains focused on family as she balances her growing career with motherhood.

“She’s grateful for where she is in her career,” the source said. “Complaining just isn’t Anne. She approaches things with gratitude and professionalism.”

“Right now, she’s focused on family and enjoying a little downtime,” the source added.
