Britney Spears' son Jayden James shuts down clone rumours on TikTok

Britney Spears' son Jayden James Federline has publicly dismissed online rumours claiming the pop star has been replaced by a clone, urging social media users not to believe viral conspiracy theories.

During a TikTok livestream on July 17, the 19-year-old addressed one of the internet's latest claims about his mother, saying he was surprised by how widely the theory had spread.

"I hop on TikTok and everyone on TikTok — I see this one video that has 1.2 million likes, and the caption is like, 'The biggest theory ever: Is Britney Spears still alive?'"

He continued, "Like, bro, you can go to her page and see her right now."

Jayden said the experience highlighted how easily misinformation can spread online, particularly when posts receive significant engagement.

"People know how gullible people are and they use that to their advantage," he said. "Anyone that sees it, they just see it and if it has a lot of likes, they [believe] it. They don't even research it, they're just, 'Wow, yeah, it's crazy. I believe it though.'"

Jayden is the younger of Britney Spears' two sons with former husband Kevin Federline.

The comments come after Britney reunited with Jayden and his brother Sean in December 2024 following a reportedly strained relationship in the years after her conservatorship ended in 2021.

In previous public remarks, Jayden had expressed concern over his mother's social media activity and said he hoped they could eventually rebuild their relationship.

"I love you a lot, and I hope for the best for you. Maybe one day we can sit down ... and talk again and have a normal conversation," he previously said.

According to a source cited in the report, Britney is now focused on rebuilding her relationship with both sons as they continue working towards becoming closer as a family.
