The tribute came after Kris Jenner announced that her mother had died at the age of 91. In an emotional Instagram post, Jenner described MJ as "the heart of our family" and reflected on the lessons she taught about love, resilience and the importance of family.

Shortly after Jenner's announcement, Kardashian faced criticism when a holiday photo carousel appeared on her Instagram. The reality star later clarified that the post had been scheduled before MJ's passing.

"This post was scheduled a few days ago before we lost MJ, so its timing came right alongside her passing," Kardashian wrote, adding that she had spent the past week with her mother and grandmother and that her family would be focused on celebrating MJ's life.

Kardashian later shared a separate tribute featuring family photographs and described MJ as her "best friend" and "forever twin." She also credited her grandmother with teaching her about business, work ethic and confidence.

The tribute attracted further attention after Kardashian highlighted one image showing the feet of several family members, identifying which belonged to herself, Kris Jenner, MJ, Khloé Kardashian and Kylie Jenner.

She added: "And for anyone that knows my grandma knows she had the most young beautiful feet in the world and she would want everyone to know lol."
