Tom Cruise allegedly kept repeating one line while watching 'The Odyssey' reveals AMC employee
Private IMAX screening turned into unforgettable cinema celebration with excited reactions from Hollywood star

Tom Cruise has once again found himself at the centre of cinema conversation, this time because of an alleged reaction to Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey during a private IMAX screening. While the account has not been independently verified, a person claiming to be an AMC employee shared details on social media describing what they called an unforgettable evening with the Hollywood icon.
According to the attendee, Cruise attended a private screening of The Odyssey after reportedly missing an earlier showing. The post claimed that when Cruise learned several AMC staff members had not yet seen the film, he invited them to join him for the screening instead of watching it alone. The employee described Cruise as approachable, enthusiastic and deeply passionate about films, saying the experience felt like watching a movie alongside someone who genuinely loves cinema.

The biggest talking point from the alleged encounter came during the film's final act. The attendee claimed Cruise repeatedly applauded key moments and kept saying the movie was "so f***ing sick" as the climactic sequences unfolded. They also alleged that Cruise sat behind the group, making light hearted comments and jokes throughout the screening, creating an atmosphere that made an already epic film even more memorable.
The social media user further claimed that Cruise spent time discussing Denis Villeneuve's Dune after the screening and praised the exclusive prologue for the next instalment. According to the same account, Cruise was so impressed that he allegedly contacted the film's producer shortly afterwards to express his admiration. Those claims have also not been independently confirmed.
Although the colourful comments remain unverified, Cruise's enthusiasm for supporting films released by other studios is well documented. Over the past several years, the actor has repeatedly encouraged audiences to experience major releases in cinemas, using his own social media platforms to celebrate filmmakers across Hollywood. He has publicly endorsed films including Sinners and F1, urging moviegoers to enjoy them on the biggest screen possible.
That long standing commitment to the theatrical experience has strengthened Cruise's reputation as one of the industry's most vocal champions of cinemas. His support regularly extends beyond his own projects, with fellow filmmakers often praising his willingness to spotlight their work and encourage audiences to return to theatres.
Meanwhile, The Odyssey has generated significant attention since its release, with Christopher Nolan's adaptation of Homer's ancient Greek epic drawing praise for its ambitious storytelling, large scale action and star studded cast led by Matt Damon as Odysseus. The film also features Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, Charlize Theron and several other high profile performers.
At the time of publication, neither Cruise nor his representatives have publicly addressed the social media claims regarding his alleged comments during the screening.
