Nab Confiscation: Sharif family case adjourned

LAHORE: A division bench of the Lahore High Court on Tuesday granted additional time to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to present record pertaining to National Bank of Pakistan (Prime Minister’s Secretariat branch Islamabad) accounts operated by Sharif family members. On Tuesday, a NAB representative requested the court to grant it more time to present it before the court. The bench comprising Justices Ijazul Ahsan and Mahmood Maqbool Bajwa adjourned the hearing till October 4. The bench is hearing seven appeals by the Sharif family challenging confiscation of their properties, bank accounts and shares in industrial units by NAB. The bench also directed the NAB to apprise it about the law under which it had transferred money from bank accounts of the appellants to the government.
