Norway striker Erling Haaland arrived home from the FIFA World Cup with an unusual souvenir after purchasing a taxidermy raccoon during his time in the United States.
Haaland was photographed arriving at Oslo's Gardermoen Airport on July 13 following Norway's quarter-final defeat to England.
The Manchester City forward stepped off the plane carrying a taxidermy raccoon in one hand and a Dolce & Gabbana tote bag in the other.
Haaland later shared a photograph of the raccoon on X, writing, "It followed me home."

The raccoon was purchased from Wild Bill's Western Store in Dallas, a family-owned business that Haaland visited at the beginning of July. The store confirmed his visit on Instagram, thanking the footballer for spending time with its staff.
According to the retailer, the mounted raccoon, displayed holding a whiskey bottle on a wooden plaque, was listed for sale at around $750 and has since sold out. The product page now states that new inventory is on the way.
The store has also embraced the publicity generated by Haaland's visit, featuring the striker on its website wearing cowboy boots, a cowboy hat and a shirt reading "Y'all can kiss my Dallas". It also announced it had begun offering international shipping after receiving interest from customers in Norway and other countries.
Haaland, 25, has attracted significant attention throughout the World Cup, both for his performances on the pitch and his popularity on social media.
The Norway international has become the subject of numerous memes and fan chants during the tournament.
Away from football, Haaland is also recognised for his distinctive fashion choices, regularly appearing with luxury accessories and designer clothing.
His latest purchase, however, may prove to be one of the most memorable souvenirs to emerge from this year's World Cup.
