Alison Hammond breaks her silence on the criticism surrounding her younger boyfriend
Alison Hammond reveals why her 23-year age-gap relationship works

Alison Hammond is shutting down criticism over her relationship with boyfriend David Putman, saying their 23-year age gap is no one else's concern.
The This Morning presenter, 51, opened up about her romance with the 28-year-old model and massage therapist in a new interview with The Mirror, describing their relationship as effortless.
"I've got a lovely man in my life," Hammond said. "It's just easy. I think that's when you know you've got something special. He just sees me for who I am. We choose each other, every day."
Addressing public attention surrounding their age difference, Hammond made it clear she isn't bothered by outside opinions.
"It's nothing to do with anyone else. Yeah, people are going to talk. People do. But that's their business, not mine," she said.
The couple, who began dating in 2023 after meeting when Hammond booked a massage appointment, are now living together in London. Despite their strong relationship, Hammond said marriage is not currently on the cards.
"I don't think there will be a wedding. We don't need to! We're both cool," she said.
Earlier this year, Hammond also spoke about the scrutiny surrounding their relationship, saying people tend to react differently when the woman is older than her partner.
"I completely understand why people are interested when there's a 22-year gap," she previously told the Daily Mail. "But what I find interesting is that it's not as interesting when it's the man who is older. I just want people to be happy for us. We are absolutely in love."
The presenter also recently credited her relationship with helping boost her confidence during her ongoing health journey.
After revealing she was once pre-diabetic, Hammond said she committed to improving her lifestyle and has since undergone a significant weight-loss transformation over the past five years.
