Ariana Grande has appeared to confirm speculation that she has reunited with former boyfriend Ricky Alvarez after changing a lyric during a recent performance on her eternal sunshine tour.

The singer reportedly altered the lyrics to her hit song "thank u, next" during her concert in Brooklyn, New York, on July 13.

In videos shared online, Grande changed the line, "Wrote some songs about Ricky, now I listen and laugh," to, "Wrote some songs about Ricky, we always find our way back," prompting loud cheers from the audience.

The lyric change follows renewed speculation about Grande and Alvarez's relationship after the pair were reportedly seen spending the Fourth of July weekend together in Florida.

Alvarez, a former backup dancer for Grande, previously dated the singer between 2015 and 2016.

The apparent reunion comes around a month after news emerged that Grande and her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater had ended their relationship.

According to reports, the couple had amicably separated several months before the split became public.

Grande and Slater first met while filming Wicked in 2022, with their relationship becoming public in July 2023. The couple attracted significant public attention after both had recently separated from their spouses, Dalton Gomez and Lilly Jay.

Sources close to the pair later told they did not begin dating until after both marriages had ended.
