Land record services get costlier
The Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) has introduced new service and challan fees for all types of property sale and purchase transactions for the fiscal year 2026-27.
The fee for filing a case in a revenue court has been fixed at Rs3,500 per case, while the minimum service charge for e-registration of land has been set at Rs3,600.
The PLRA has issued a new schedule of fees for various land record services, which has come into immediate effect.
According to the notification, the fee for obtaining copies of records, including fard, mutation and girdawari, through the express service has been fixed at Rs4,000, while the fee for an ordinary copy is Rs900.
The fee for a Green Property Certificate has been set at Rs800, a copy of the land record will cost Rs5,000 and a certified copy of a registered deed Rs1,400.
The notification states that banks and other institutions seeking verification of land records will be charged Rs1,000 for each successful transaction and Rs700 for each unsuccessful transaction.
The fee for mutation through the express service has been fixed at Rs11,200, while mutation through banks will cost Rs2,100 and ordinary mutation Rs1,200. The fee for appointing a local commission through e-registration has been set at Rs6,700.
Under the Property Transfer System, a service charge of Rs3,000 per transaction has been imposed on transactions carried out by all housing societies and development authorities. Transactions conducted through the e-registration portal will be charged a service fee of 0.1 per cent of the land value, subject to a minimum of Rs3,600.
In addition, the fee for filing a case through the Revenue Courts Management System has been fixed at Rs3,500 per case. The notification clarifies that government fees will continue to be collected at rates notified by the Punjab Board of Revenue from time to time.
