Tyriq Withers and Isabel May lead Amazon MGM’s ‘Love Love,’ tennis rom-com about romance and unexpected connections

Tyriq Withers and Isabel May are set to headline Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming romantic comedy Love Love, a new film from writer-director Joey Power.
The project will see Withers star and executive produce alongside May, with production scheduled to begin this fall in New York.
The romantic comedy follows a struggling tennis phenom whose career is at risk until she forms an unexpected connection with a charismatic local ball boy at the US Open. Their unlikely romance becomes the motivation she needs as she fights to reach the tournament finals.
Love Love features a creative team including Joey Power, who will direct the film, with the screenplay written by Power and Daniel Sweren-Becker. RK Films’ Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum, along with 3 Arts Entertainment’s Ari Lubet and Jonathan Berry, will produce. Power and Alyssa Altman will also serve as executive producers.
Withers has recently gained attention for several major film roles. He most recently appeared in Universal Pictures’ Reminders of Him, the adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel. He also starred in the supernatural horror film Him, produced by Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions and Universal Pictures, earning two nominations at the 2026 NAACP Image Awards for his performance.
The actor was also featured in Sony’s latest installment of the horror franchise I Know What You Did Last Summer, further establishing himself as one of Hollywood’s rising talents.
Isabel May is known for her roles in projects including 1883 and Alexa & Katie, and her addition to Love Love marks another major film opportunity.
With its tennis backdrop, emotional storyline and rising young stars, Love Love is expected to be one of Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming romantic comedy highlights.
