Off Campus creator Louisa Levy has pushed back against reports about alleged salary differences among the cast, calling the figures inaccurate and defending the show’s commitment to gender pay equality.

Levy, who serves as co-showrunner on the Prime Video series based on Elle Kennedy’s popular book collection, responded to claims shared by a podcast that suggested a pay gap between the show’s season one leads, Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli.

The report alleged that Bright, who plays Briar University student Hannah Wells, earned $20,000 per episode, while Cameli, who portrays hockey player Garrett Graham, was reportedly paid $30,000 per episode. Levy disputed those figures, saying the information was “far from correct” and encouraged people to verify their sources.

The creator also highlighted her efforts to ensure fair treatment within the production, stating that gender pay parity is an important issue she actively supports as a female showrunner.

“Off Campus” follows Hannah and Garrett’s unexpected romance at Briar University, while exploring the relationships and personal journeys of their friends. The series quickly gained popularity after its first season premiered on Prime Video, leading the platform to renew it for a second season before the debut of the first episodes.

Season two will shift its focus to Allie Hayes, played by Mika Abdalla, and Dean Di Laurentis, portrayed by Stephen Kalyn, based on Kennedy’s novel The Score. However, Levy confirmed that Bright and Cameli’s characters will remain part of the series, with Hannah and Garrett continuing to play an important role in the wider storyline.

As anticipation builds for Off Campus season two, Levy’s comments highlight the ongoing conversation around transparency and equality in Hollywood pay structures.
