Everything coming to HBO Max in July 2026: New movies, shows and major premieres

HBO Max July 2026 lineup adds 'The Drama', The Long Walk', new originals and blockbuster movies for subscribers

HBO Max has announced its July 2026 streaming lineup, with new original series, acclaimed films and high-profile A24 releases headlining the month's schedule.

Among the biggest additions are The Drama, starring Robert Pattinson and Zendaya, The Long Walk, and the new The Big Bang Theory spin-off, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe.

Premiering on July 23, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe follows comic book store owner Stuart Bloom, played by Kevin Sussman, after he accidentally triggers a multiverse crisis using one of Sheldon and Leonard's inventions. The 10-episode Max original will release weekly and features familiar faces from The Big Bang Theory franchise.

On July 31, A24's romantic black comedy The Drama makes its streaming debut following its theatrical run. Starring Robert Pattinson and Zendaya, the film centres on an engaged couple whose relationship is shaken by a dark revelation shortly before their wedding. The film generated widespread discussion during its theatrical release and is expected to be one of HBO Max's most-streamed titles this summer.

Another major addition is The Long Walk, arriving on July 10. Based on Stephen King's 1979 novel and directed by Francis Lawrence, the dystopian thriller follows a deadly televised walking competition featuring fifty teenage contestants. Cooper Hoffman and David Jonsson lead the ensemble cast.

Documentary fans can also look forward to Marc by Sofia, Sofia Coppola's first documentary, exploring the life and career of fashion designer Marc Jacobs, while HBO's four-part documentary series The Man Will Burn examines the history and cultural impact of the annual Burning Man festival.

The July library also expands with fan favourites including the Evil Dead franchise, The Mummy films, Deadpool 2, Ocean's Eight, Dumb Money and numerous classic movies, offering subscribers a diverse mix of new originals, blockbuster films and returning favourites throughout the month.
