Connor Murphy, the bodybuilding influencer and YouTuber known for his fitness and prank content, is at the center of renewed attention following new claims about his final days before his death in Thailand.

Murphy, 32, died on July 7 after reportedly fleeing police and entering a lake in Samut Prakan province, where authorities said he disappeared underwater while attempting to evade officers. Rescue divers later recovered his body approximately 65 feet from the shore after a search operation. Officials reported that an initial examination found no visible signs of assault, while a full autopsy and toxicology analysis remain pending.

Following the incident, fellow content creator Androgenic alleged that Murphy had become fixated on the idea that gold possessed extraordinary properties. According to Androgenic, Murphy believed ingesting or injecting gold could provide "special powers" and higher levels of consciousness. He further claimed Murphy had begun injecting gold and displaying increasingly erratic behavior in the weeks leading up to his death.

The allegations have not been confirmed by Thai authorities or medical officials. Reports indicate investigators found two unused syringes inside Murphy's vehicle, along with unidentified white pills in a waist bag. However, police have not linked those items to the claims about gold or determined whether any substance contributed to his death.

Androgenic also claimed Murphy had been struggling with bipolar disorder and said friends had become increasingly concerned about his behavior before the incident.

Murphy built an online following of more than 2.4 million YouTube subscribers through bodybuilding, fitness and lifestyle content before later becoming associated with the looksmaxxing community.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Murphy's death, with official autopsy and toxicology results expected to provide further clarity.
