3 held for data breach

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) arrested three suspects for allegedly operating a network involved in the illegal acquisition and sale of citizens' sensitive telecommunication data.
According to the NCCIA, the suspects were allegedly obtaining and selling confidential information, including call records, SIM, family registration and location data for commercial purposes.
An official said the arrests were made during an investigation launched on a complaint filed by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
