New details emerge as Darrell Sheets' alleged suicide note is made public
'Storage Wars' star Darrell Sheets' alleged suicide note revealed months after his death

Nearly three months after the death of Darrell Sheets, new details have emerged following the release of a police report that reportedly includes the contents of an alleged suicide note discovered at the scene.
A police incident report obtained by Entertainment Weekly revealed that investigators with the Lake Havasu City Police Department found a handwritten note inside a bathroom closet near where Sheets was found dead at his Arizona home on April 22. Written on the back of a document dated February 20, 2026, the alleged note read, "I could not take anymore the Facebook bulling [sic]," before directing an expletive at a redacted individual.
The incident report also details claims that Sheets had been experiencing online harassment in the months leading up to his death. In March, the former reality TV star reportedly posted on Facebook alleging that he had been "hacked" by someone in Keizer, Oregon, claiming the individual had damaged his reputation and caused people to show up at his workplace. He also wrote that if anything happened to him, a specific person and their spouse were responsible.
Police said they contacted the individual named in Sheets' post, but the person was reportedly uncooperative and denied being in Arizona around the time of the incident.
Sheets' girlfriend also told investigators that he had been under significant stress due to ongoing online slander, which she said contributed to insomnia. According to the report, tensions within the family also escalated in the days before his death following an argument with his son and a text message from his daughter-in-law that allegedly upset him.
The girlfriend told police that on the night before his death, she believed she saw Sheets sitting in his office with a handgun. After he instructed her to return to bed, she said she later heard a gunshot and called 911.
Officials previously ruled that Sheets died by suicide from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. No drugs or narcotics were found in his system.
Best known as "The Gambler," Sheets was one of the original cast members of Storage Wars, earning a loyal fan following for his high-risk bidding strategy and larger-than-life personality. He was honored by family, friends, and former castmates during a celebration of life held in late June.
